Wax Filler

Louis XIII Malleable Wax Filler is specially designed to easily repair defects in waxed interior woods: cracks, scratches, wormholes, or old nail holes. Ready to use, it offers excellent cold malleability, allowing for application without prior heating. Its formula prevents any shrinkage or cracking after application, ensuring a durable and aesthetic repair. Available in 6 stable shades, it adapts perfectly to different wood species and finishes. For varnished furniture, it is recommended to touch up the varnish after filling with Louis XIII Shellac Filler.

Louis XIII Wax Filler allows you to easily fill small cracks, wormholes, or nail holes on interior wood that is waxed or intended to be waxed.

It is a pigmented blend based on microcrystalline waxes, offering excellent cold malleability. It applies without specialized tools, does not shrink, does not crack, and guarantees colors that remain stable over time.

1. Soften the wax by kneading it in the palm of your hand, under warm water, or near a heat source.
2. Position the stick near the area to be filled.
3. Take and apply the wax using the tip of a knife or a spatula.
4. Fill the hole, then scrape the surface to remove the excess.

• Choose a shade corresponding to the desired final result ; opt for a slightly darker tone than that of the wood.
• Before filling, treat wormholes with Xénol Louis XIII (liquid: codes 3166 – 3169 / aerosol: code 3155).
• On raw wood intended to be waxed, lightly heat the repaired area (hair dryer) to improve wax penetration before scraping.
• On waxed wood, after filling, apply a coat of:
• Patine des Antiquaires AVEL (codes 4144 – 4149), or
• Cire de Luxe Haute Tradition Louis XIII (paste: 3002 – 3004 – 3009 / liquid: 3014 – 3016 – 3019), in a suitable shade.
• On varnished wood or wood intended to be varnished, use Gomme Laque à Reboucher Louis XIII (code 3215).
• For larger repairs, prefer Pâte à bois LEMAN Louis XIII (codes 3243 – 3245).
• For parquet floors and floorboards, preferably use Répare Parquet Naturel Louis XIII (code 3234).
