White Liming Wax

Louis XIII White Ceruse is specially designed to enhance woods with pronounced grain such as oak or chestnut, providing an original and luminous decorative finish. It fills the grooves, rough patches, and grain of the wood with a white wax, while leaving the edges and flat surfaces in their natural shade. This elegant contrast highlights the texture and character of the wood. Easy to apply, the ceruse can be used on both raw wood and furniture that is already waxed or varnished, offering a quick and aesthetic renovation.

It helps to highlight the grain by filling it with CERUSING WAX. When applied in a thin layer to woods with a smoother grain, it creates an interesting "patina" effect on them.

Apply the White Ceruse using a cloth, a brush, or a cotton wick, working it into the grain and imperfections.

Allow to dry slightly.

Wipe off the excess on flat surfaces so that the wax remains only in the grooves.

Once dry, buff lightly if desired.

The finish can be protected with a clear wax or a matte varnish.

Maintenance: Apply a thin layer of ANTIQUE LIQUID WAX (Ref. 3080) with a cloth. Allow to dry for 1 hour, then buff with a cloth.
